Our Ministries

Preaching

The preaching of God’s word is the most important part of our services.  It is the focus of what we do.  Pastor Mark strives to preach the whole Counsel of God, and we make no apology for standing firm on our belief that the King James Version is the preserved Word of God for the English-speaking people.
 

Music

At Southside Baptist Church, we strive to honor God with our music service.  We stick to the old paths and sing traditional hymns that ring out the Gospel message and praise our Lord and Savior.
 

Sunday School

We have Sunday School classes for all ages and walks of life.  During our Sunday School hour, we strive to teach the Bible in a way that is most cohesive to the individual’s age and spiritual maturity.
 

Bus Ministry

On Sunday Mornings, our busses travel routes around the Joplin area to pick up children for Sunday School and Children’s Church.  If you or your child needs a ride, click the button below and we will get you on the schedule!

Nursery

We have a nursery available during every service for children aged 0-3 years old.  All of our nursery and Children’s Church workers have completed background checks to ensure the safety of your children.
 

Ministries

Ladies Bible Study
Our ladies gather on Tuesdays from 11am-noon for Bible study and prayer.
 
Men’s Prayer Breakfast
The men gather at 8am on the first Saturday of the month for breakfast, prayer, and fellowship.
 
Outreach
We gather as a church at 9am on the third Saturday of every month for breakfast.  After we eat, we go out together to tell others in our community about Christ and invite them to our services.
 
Oasis Ministry
Every second and fourth Monday at 10am, we minister to the residents at Spring River Christian Village.
 
Souls Harbor
We have the privilege of being able to hold services for the residents of Souls Harbor at 6:15pm on the first Thursday and fourth Saturday of every month.

At Southside Baptist Church, we stand on the Holy Word of God as the origin and basis of everything we believe, preach, and teach.  God gave us His perfect Word, and we make no apologies for standing firm in its teachings.
