After the church building was destroyed in the tornado in 2011, it was necessary for Southside to incur a large debt in order to rebuild. God has been good, and we've been faithfully paying on that mortgage, which is scheduled to be completely paid off in 2034. However, the monthly payment on the mortgage can, at times, be constraining on our desire to reach out and minister more in our community. It is our desire to pay this loan off as quickly as possible so that Southside can "move ahead" and reach more souls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Moving Ahead Financial Partnership Plan is separate from tithes and missions. There is no obligation to give to Moving Ahead, nor is this a commitment-based plan. We only ask that each person seek the Lord and give according to His guidance. Every penny given toward the Moving Ahead Financial Partnership Plan is given toward the principle of the building loan.
